Abstract. This article examines the issue of teacher professional success. Scholars’ views on its components are explored. The author provides a definition of the methodological characteristics of modern teacher success. The results of a study of materials from teachers participating in the regional “Teacher of the Year” competition are described. Based on the conceptualization of the competitors’ experiences, the methodological characteristics of the teaching activities of successful teachers participating in professional excellence competitions are identified.
