Abstract. The authors of the article consider the organization of excursions for schoolchildren to the enterprise as an important factor in the formation of a sustainable interest in choosing engineering professions in addition to the writing by students of an individual research project “My future profession is an engineer”. The expansion of students’ life experience in the field of hydroacoustics, in solving the constructed problems of an engineering orientation on the material of the excursion, allowed schoolchildren to realize the importance of school subject knowledge in mathematics and physics in obtaining engineering professions.
