Educational Research as a Technology for Conducting a Laboratory Study

Abstract. The current article discusses possibilities of using educational research technology when organizing a laboratory work in such a way that allows the educator to unlock the full educational potential of laboratory work achieving metasubject results of learning. The study describes an original laboratory work in biology for high school students. It is based off field studies of natural populations of the red vole (Clethrionomys rutilus), a widely spread indicator small mammal species.
