On the Nature of Co-Existential Community: The Non-Merged and Inseparable Unity of Meanings, Values, and Goals

Abstract: Conventional hierarchical frameworks for understanding the relationships between meanings, values, and goals are ill-suited to real pedagogical practice. They oversimplify reality and lead to the degeneration of community — either into a warm but fruitless circle of shared interests, or into a soulless organization driven solely by outcomes, or into a closed group living by its own insular meanings. The authors propose an alternative approach: to hold meanings, values, and goals together in a living tension, without merging or separating them. This creates the fullness of shared life that we call co-existentiality. The article offers straightforward criteria for recognizing such a community and consciously cultivating it — in schools, families, and professional settings. The text continues the tradition of the antinomic pedagogy of archpriest Boris Nichiporov, developing it within the framework of contemporary anthropology of education.
