Abstract: The authors conducted a theoretical analysis of the concept of “readiness for professional teaching activity” among students in psychology and pedagogy classes as a key characteristic of a future specialist in the regional education system; they also demonstrated the differences in approaches to determining the level of readiness for professional activity among students of a pedagogical university and students in psychology and pedagogy classes.
