Abstract: The article provides a brief historical and pedagogical overview of the implementation of the policy aimed at providing state support to Russian teachers and enhancing the prestige of their professional activities. It is proposed to extend the measures of additional support for teachers listed in Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 498 «On additional measures to support teachers» dated July 20, 2026, including to the teaching staff of federal, regional, regional and municipal specialized pedagogical universities, academies and institutes of teacher training, on the basis of which their professional training is carried out. training and postgraduate professional education.
