The Design Code Of Herzen University. Traditions As The Foundation For Innovation

Abstract: The article examines the design code of Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia as a system of visual and semantic elements reflecting the connection between traditions and innovations. An analysis has been conducted of the architectural environment, symbolism, color schemes, and digital space of the university, which shape its unique image. Based on surveys, the key associations of the student audience and academic and teaching staff with the university are identified, and the main elements of its symbolic identity are determined.
