Three Tools Of Modern School Management

Abstract: The article analyzes the problem of bureaucratic pressure on the heads of general education organizations, leading to the transformation of the director from a teacher-leader into a “clerk from education”. The author highlights three key contradictions of the modern school management system: between leadership and accountability, the uniqueness of the school and the unification of requirements, trust and total control. As a strategic response to these challenges, the author proposes the concept of managerial courage as a professional norm that allows the principal to maintain their agency and not become a “transmission mechanism” of the system. Based on an analysis of managerial practices and the experiences of colleagues, the author formulates three tools that contribute to the principal’s return to the pedagogical field: conscious decentralization, open goal-setting, and the use of artificial intelligence.
