Abstract: The article, using the example of the seminar «Focus on the Future» (PMOF-2026, GBOU «School No. 604» of St. Petersburg), shows how engineering and technology education in a modern school is moving from experiment to systemic practice. The authors reveal the results of the implementation of the second stage of the district platform for pedagogical modeling and creative development «ITM_604 School: from modeling the educational environment to the implementation of project and research practices», which were reflected during the seminar. Interdisciplinary workshops combining physics, mathematics, computer science, biology, and the Russian language are described; the experience of the school design bureau and interaction with industrial partners is presented. The authors conclude that the integrated approach forms students’ engineering thinking, conscious professional choice and real project skills, and gives teachers the opportunity for interdisciplinary cooperation and professional growth.
