Abstract: The article examines the method of perspective lines developed by A. S. Makarenko, reveals his vision in modern conditions. This method is presented as a means of educating a purposeful, responsible and active personality. His particularly significant positions stand out: the goal of the method is not a material reward, but the joy of achievement, recognition, and belonging to a team; it is important to avoid manipulation and combine personal and collective, to take into account voluntary participation; flexibility is needed in reviewing goals. The teacher’s position is important: to see the distant future, to break the path into stages, to feel the mood of the group. The method of “tomorrow’s joy” is not an archaic device from the past, but a deep psychological and pedagogical technology of designing, motivating the future of our children.
