Abstract: A study of the pedagogical work of the famous Soviet teacher V. A. Sukhomlinsky based on his world-famous book “I give my Heart to children” was conducted in order to identify the pedagogical foundations of the “School of Joy”. The main merit of V. A. Sukhomlinsky is the description of his own multifaceted and long-term pedagogical experience, which was accompanied by a clear and positive emotional expression of thoughts, pedagogical principles and ideas, and personal examples of adult-child interaction.; a fairly detailed description of life examples in order to preserve and pass it on to future generations, future teachers, and parents. The author emphasizes that V. A. Sukhomlinsky not only proposed the idea of a “school of joy”», but also proved its effectiveness in pedagogical practice.
