Courage As A Phenomenon Of The Character Of The Russian Warrior. History And Modernity

Abstract: 2025 has been declared the Year of Defender of the Fatherland by the President of the Russian Federation. Its main goal is to preserve historical memory and glorify the exploits of participants in a special military operation. The article examines the fundamental socio-psychological character traits of the Russian warrior. Important aspects of the education of patriotism and psychological training of soldiers are revealed. The central attention is focused on the problem of preserving the self-identity of the Russian people and the army, as well as the development of their independence and ideological moral component in the context of the struggle against alien Western destructive values. The importance of ethical military professional activity, effective in solving problems of both peacetime and wartime, is determined. Specific ways of educating the courage of a future officer and soldier in the conditions of obtaining a military profession are proposed.
