Is It Possible To Raise A Patriot Based On Russian Icon Painting?

Abstract: The article is devoted to the consideration of literary sources and two hagiographic icons of Saints Boris and Gleb in their figurative and semantic interrelation. The patriotic component in the content of texts and iconography is revealed and the relevance and expediency of using icons in the spiritual and moral education of schoolchildren is substantiated.
