A Person’s Name As A Parenting Resource

Abstract: The article examines the identity of a child with a name as an element of Russian cultural identity and a significant means of education. The author formulates the purpose of the pedagogically guided process of identifying with a name, the content of this process and the tools of working with children aimed at forming a child’s conscious motivation for moral improvement through joining people of the same name, noted in the national tradition as worthy.
