Abstract: Increasingly high-profile scandals accompany the Unified State Exam, while many people consider themselves specialists in pedagogy, but forget about the basics of this science or do not know, in fact, pedagogy at all. The authors of the article conducted a comprehensive analysis of the problems related to the Unified State Exam, using the example of mathematical education, and proposed specific ways to turn it into an honest and fair GIA procedure based on the presumption of student and teacher integrity, the ideas of A. S. Makarenko and A. M. Kushnir.
