The Week Of Sciences And Arts Is A New Format Of Long-Standing Traditions

Abstract: The article raises the problem of the functioning of a modern secondary school in conditions of free access to information and its overabundance. The article describes the experience of conducting creative Weeks of Sciences and Arts, which appear to be a fusion of intensive learning technologies, additional education classes and extracurricular hours on the subject, which is typical for the modern Russian education system. The author provides the genesis of the emergence and implementation of the stated idea, examines the strengths and weaknesses of the indicated approach, and provides specific examples of various thematic educational events. The influence of adults and peers who are important to the child on the formation of his motivation for independent educational activity is analyzed. The guidelines for the development of the country’s educational system are outlined, taking into account the existing civilizational challenges. A forecast is made about the direction of the necessary changes.
