How To Rebuild Education In Russia. Part Two. The Reasons For What Is Happening

Viktor P. Lukyanenko, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, North Caucasus Federal University, Stavropol, viktor246@mail.ru

Abstract: Readers are invited to continue the articles (with the same title) that were published in the journal “Public Education” in No. 7 for 2023 and in No. 7 for 2024 and are devoted to answering the question: what is happening? The main purpose of the second part of the work on this problem is to answer the question of the causes of what is happening, to identify and analyze the deep, but tacit (veiled, implicit) signs and causes of the severe crisis of the education system in Russia, without eliminating which its progressive development is impossible. Attention is drawn to the fact that the current state of development of the sovereign education system in Russia is so far characterized not so much by productive activity as by its imitation. Instead of a conceptual rethinking of existing realities, there is a rather disorderly mass of private events, many of which are clearly imitative in nature and therefore very similar to a well-organized “mouse fuss”. The article attempts to identify more effective, constructive approaches to solving this problem. The list of the top ten most destructive causes of the education crisis, which are not the subject of widespread public discussion, is presented. A detailed consideration of the rest of the causes of the crisis formulated in the work is expected in the second part of the monograph: “How to rebuild education in Russia? The causes of the crisis”. In the third part of the work, an attempt will be made to answer the question: what to do — identify the main ways to solve the problem.
