How Can A. S. Makarenko’s Goal-Setting Model Be Applied By Modern School Principals

Abstract: The article examines the relevance of applying Anton Semenovich Makarenko’s goal-setting system in the activities of modern school principals in the context of modern educational tasks. Special attention is paid to the perspective lines method, which includes personally and collectively oriented goals formulated in the categories of meaning and joy; three stages of goal setting based on joy and perspective lines are analyzed; recommendations for the implementation of this approach in the modern school environment are presented. The conclusion is made about the high practical significance of Makarenko’s ideas for the formation of a harmonious and value-rich educational environment.
