Abstract: The article presents the activities of a modern educational institution for adolescents with deviant criminal behavior, which implements the living legacy of A. S. Makarenko in providing psychological, pedagogical, medical and social assistance to children in difficult situations. The description of the pedagogical environment, the directions of the institution’s activities, and its effectiveness are given.
