The value foundations of national education — the foundation of Russian statehood

Abstract: The article actualizes the need to preserve Russian spiritual and moral values in the conditions of cognitive and psychological threats emanating from the Anglo-Saxon world. Examples of the results of the examination of school textbooks for the conformity of their content with the patriotic education of youth are presented, the value profile of youth is described and a number of problems that destroy Russian society are identified, the importance of a unified educational and methodological base is substantiated, while preserving the fundamental role of the teacher's personality in determining the future life path of the younger generation.
