Abstract. The article is devoted to the methodology of using school library resources to prepare third-graders for writing essays on the themes of the seasons. It examines the importance of integrating visual arts and poetry into the development of coherent speech in primary schoolchildren in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard for Primary General Education (FGOS NOO). Library sessions by season are described, featuring analysis of landscapes by Russian artists through questions, comparisons, and poetry reading. The stages of essay writing (preparation, draft, self-assessment, presentation), lesson objectives and tasks, as well as recommendations for applying this method in the practice of other teachers, are presented. It is emphasized that the use of the method contributes to increasing students’ motivation for learning and improving their language literacy, while forming universal learning actions (ULA) and aesthetic perception.
