Abstract. The authors of the article present the experience of implementing the Concept of engineering culture formation and development of students in Chelyabinsk region based on the Model of formation and development of governor’s engineering classes. To implement the goal and objectives of the Concept of engineering culture formation, a set of mechanisms implemented on the basis of internal capabilities of educational organizations and using regional infrastructure is defined. The article presents the practical experience of governor’s engineering classes in forming the basics of engineering culture among students.
