Prestigious Pedagogy: How The «Smena» Orients Children To Choose Professions In The Field Of Education

Abstract: The Year of the Teacher and Mentor announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin underlines the unprecedented importance of the teaching profession in the development of modern society. In order to increase the prestige of the teacher and pedagogical professions, a new educational project has appeared in the VDC “Smena” — “Teacher of Russia”. The article explains why such programs are suitable for future teachers and educators and what universal pedagogical competencies Smena offers to develop for schoolchildren.
