«U-Turn» To Ourselves: Now Or Never. Completion Of The Western Experiment On Russian Education

Abstract: In the context of recent geopolitical events, the continued existence of domestic higher education according to Western European standards is not possible: the time has come when it is necessary to abandon the influence of the alien and hostile Western space. The article highlights the problem of transformation of the value-semantic essence of higher education at the present stage. The concept of “academic capitalism”, its influence on the deformation of the classical model of the university is considered. The semantic essence of tertiary education is determined, the economic component of which conflicts with the goals of a truly higher education. The article proposes a way out of the current systemic crisis in higher education through an anthropological approach. The first (but important!) steps on the way to import substitution in domestic higher education are noted.
