“Children Are Undoubtedly The Most Photographed And Least Listened To Members Of Society”

Abstract: The United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child recently adopted General Comment No. 25 to adapt it to the new context, as children’s rights must be treated equally in the digital environment. Specifically, it argues that children should be at the center of the consultation process when making decisions and developing laws and policies and digital products. Beyond legal rights, there are many other compelling reasons for involving children in decision making. It also leads to better decision-making, increased accountability and can help protect children. The initiatives of the European Commission and regulatory documents to attract children to participate in research have been considered.
