Abstract: The article presents an attempt to describe in general terms the theory of educational systems of the outstanding Russian teacher, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences L.I. Novikova, whose works have become widely known among researchers of educational problems and practical teachers. The purpose of the essay is a general description of the phenomenon of the educational system based on the analysis of a large array of data characterizing the central and peripheral aspects of the teaching.
