Abstract: The article discusses the results of a study on the organization of volunteer activities of primary school students. The directions of volunteer work that most correspond to the age capabilities of younger schoolchildren are highlighted: information activities, organizational work (participation in events), assistance to various institutions and organizations, environmental actions, psychological support for people in difficult life situations, participation in charity events, holding cultural events, caring for the preservation of historical and memorable places. The results of the survey served as the basis for the development and testing of a methodology for organizing volunteer activities in primary schools, which involves the gradual inclusion of children in the volunteer movement.
