Abstract. Pedagogical potential of educational technology of social design. Analysis of the current practice of preparing students of pedagogical universities to organize their own social projects and similar projects of schoolchildren. Conditions that determine the effectiveness of the practical experience of social projects as a means of civic and professional education of future teachers.
