Abstract. The article is devoted to consideration of the specifics of the regulation of monitoring, control and evaluation of the quality of education in the municipal education system. The practical experience of the municipal bodies of education management in the city of Nizhny Novgorod is considered. Particular attention is paid to new requirements for an independent assessment of the quality of the conditions for the implementation of educational activities.
