Motivational aspects of design creativity in the graphic design laboratory

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of motivating the creative activity of students in the creative laboratory «Graphic Design». The relationship between motivation and creativity in the field of design is important for understanding the formation of a student’s creative personality, since children show their essence and immediacy in creative activity. Design creativity is determined by the value-motivational sphere of the personality, which is characterized by a variety of motivational aspects. Particular attention is paid to the identification and disclosure of the dominant motives for the creative activity of students in the field of design education, which are determined by the needs, first of all, in self-realization, self-improvement, dedication and recognition.
