Children's Semantic Models As A Barrier Of Mutual Understanding Between A Child And An Adult

Abstract. The author raises the question of obstacles that arise when adults under-stand children’s speech. This speech is not only the result of specific articulation; in chil-dren’s speech, there are possible semantic phenomena that are built on the «individual context of meaning» of the child, on his associations that go back to egocentric speech pat-terns. Association in the life of a child of preschool age is a natural phenomenon, and the individual associative models of the child that impose an imprint on his linguistic picture of the world are the subject of this article.
