Abstract . The article is devoted to the actual in our time problems of the humanitarization of society and the psychological and pedagogical education of the population. The experience of cooperation between the school, the family and the university, connected with such enlightenment in Kalmykia, is presented. The features of the social and educational project «People’s University of Man» are revealed, which is a free community of teachers, teachers, parents, students and all those who want to explore the nature of human consciousness and learn to control themselves. The project is implemented on the basis of the Kalmyk State University and schools of the republic.
